So....I've been really busy. It's nice. Here's what's been going on:
A storm passed through the area and did quite a bit of damage. Many trees were knocked over and school was cancelled two days in a row. It took a lot to get it all cleaned up.
Right now, Musical Productions is working on the Musical Revue. I don't know how I feel about it. I got a solo and it's one of my favorite songs. However, I feel like the class is falling apart. Every song is a solo. The ensemble sings hardly anything. There aren't any numbers for the juniors or mpsc or any concert pieces anything like that. I think when the revue comes along, it will be very different than last year.
I'm in two one-act plays. They are fun and i'm excited to be in them.
I'm job hunting right now. I really need a job. I have no money and I need to pay for a lot this year.
I've been spending a lot of time with Maddy. She is so good to me and she is amazing. I'm excited for the dance this saturday and other things to come.
So, anyway, some good and bad things going on right now. Sometimes, I feel like the stress is too much. I'm reminded of one of my all time favorite songs, "Under Pressure". It reminds me that times are hard but that's ok.
"Cause love's such an old fashioned word
and love dares you to care for those people on the
edge of the night and love dares you to change our way of
caring about ourselves"

The ones who stick around.
I love my friends. I'm so grateful for everyone in my life. I'm especially grateful for those that are still in my life. The ones who haven't changed. The ones that "stick around".
Thank You. I love you. :)

Shows Come and Go
So, last night was closing night of the musical. It was so much fun to be up on stage with my friends. I have learned so much from this musical. I have finally learned to love the class. I have learned to be happy even when things are hard. I didn't think it would be so hard to let go of the show. However, it's nice to know that I don't have to let go of my friends. They are always there for me.
As thanksgiving comes closer and closer, i'm starting to look at things i'm grateful for. I am so blessed to be where I am now. I have amazing friends and family. I'm so grateful that I go to such an amazing school. I'm grateful that I was born in to the church. I'm grateful that I live in such a safe community. I'm grateful that I have such great friends. I'm grateful for my family. I'm grateful that I have someone always watching out for me. She's amazing...
Shows come and go....but people don't have to.

I will always remember...
This year has been so good to me. It keeps getting better and better. The musical opened last friday and has been so much fun. I am so proud of the entire cast, crew, and pit. I feel like we have created an amazing show. I love everyone in musical productions. They are my family. I am having so much fun sharing our amazing show with the people in the community.
I have loved being able to spend so much time with Maddy. It's been a great month and she has been so good to me. I can't stop smiling around her.
In this cold weather things get difficult...
...but I will always remember the great things that I have done with my musical productions family and my best friend in the world.

Cold
Soo.....Utah is cold now. It's weird how much the weather changes the way people act. The beginning and end of winter are the most difficult. However, right in the middle is Christmas season. You can't really be grumpy during the Christmas season. I'm so excited. With all the stress I have, there is something nice to look forward to.
It's also nice to have someone who is always looking out for me. I have never been so happy. Even with so many things that aren't going so well, Maddy is always there smiling. It's good to have someone pulling me through every week.
The cold weather isn't so bad this year.

Snow.....here it comes
So...it's been awhile. I need to stop being lazy all the time. I was doing really good for a long time. Anyway, here's a little update
Homecoming was the best date of my life. I got to go with the most amazing person I know. I got to be in a group of my best friends in the world. It was an absolutely perfect night.
The weather is getting colder. It's time for the long winter. Should be fun. I wonder if my car will survive another winter. It hardly lasted through the last one....however, I do have windshield wipers now.
The musical is so close right now. I don't feel prepared at all. I hope everything goes well.
The Halloween dance is this saturday.....I have never been so afraid to go to a dance. I know that she is a nice girl. It's just.....scary. I hope that it works out ok. I'm guessing that their will only be a couple of really awkard moments. I hope it's not too awkward.
Everything else has mostly been the same. I'm still having the best senior year ever.

Not-so-friendly reminder
This weekend, Davis played Layton......kinda. They didn't play so well. It was kinda a sad game. I really don't like Layton but it was sad to see them play so poorly.
After the game was over, Ashley, Emi, Maddy, and I decided to go to Orange Leaf. On the drive over, I got hit in the chest by my asthma. It was a huge suprise to me. I think the last time I really felt my asthma was early junior high. Even then, it was a really rare occasion. Anyway, I spent the rest of the weekend feeling weak and out of breath. It's not the best feeling in the world.
I hate asthma. I thought I was almost done with it but apparently my body isn't. Oh well. I can take it. I've had to deal with it my whole life. I'm not too worried about it.
bring it on.

Change in Climate
September is almost over. We all know this means that we are coming close to the very long and brutal cold that Utah receives. It's one of the things I dislike about Utah. I'm not very good at dealing with cold cause i'm too skinny. I'm not really looking forward to it.
Winter has always been the darkest part of the year for me. Bad things in my past usually have occured in the winter. It might just be that the cold has made it that much worse but I always fear the cold. This year has been very good to me so far. I'm just hoping that it won't turn around too hard with the cold. This is my last year in highschool and I need to make it count.

Connect
Today was one of the performance for the performing arts fundraiser. It was an amazing night. I finally have connected with the class. Musical Productions got to perform the closing number. It was a great moment to perform with the entire class. I didn't think the class would ever connect. I was really worried that it wouldn't happen. The class felt like a competition the entire time. Finally it feels like a family.
This morning didn't go so well for me. I'm in a really good mood now but I felt like garbage this morning. Tonight was absolutely fantastic though. I love when a day flips like that.

Don't judge me.
My seminary class is....interesting. I usually love seminary but this class feels funny. There is a small group kids who are too cool to be there. Well, since I love seminary so much, naturally, this group thinks i'm super annoying. Then my seminary teacher thought it would be a good idea to make me president of the class..... So far, this is not working out so well. Then there are a few kids who I really enjoy hearing from. I'm not sure what to expect from the class yet but hopefully everything works out.
On another note, I get to perform at a retirement home tommorow night. I'm really excited but at the same time i'm really nervous. Old people are not afraid to tell you that you suck. So this might be an interesting experience. I'm just going to have to rock it. I have a couple songs i'm prepared to play. I'll just play the one i'm in the mood to play when I get there. It should be fun.
Last, this year has been fantastic. I'm always happy and smiling. I can't wait for the future because if things keep going the way they are, this is going to be a great year. I'm finally spending time with the great people in my life and I am loving it.

Smile
This weekend was hard...
Things don't always go the way you think they will. That's life though. Things are meant to be hard. This weekend, I was hit by a couple of curveballs. They hit hard. It was definitely one of those moments that knocks you off your feet.
I think the reason it Hurt so bad is because I was so prepared to make this weekend amazing for Maddy but something unexpected happened. Instead of making this weekend great for her, she made it great for me. She pulled me off the ground and onto my feet. I had a hard weekend but she was there helping me the whole time.
Now, the weekend is over. I had the chance to make up for the weekend today. I'm so happy right now. I can't describe how I feel. I went on a calming walk, got some great advice from a very talkative old man, and spent the day with the best person ever.....and now all that I can do is smile.

They scare me but i'm trying again. The first day of Musical Productions, gave us our first assignment.....auditions. I don't think I have breathed normally until we finished them....today. I'm am super happy about the cast. I get to play the Inkeeper.
I can't wait to start the play. It will be a great experience with my best friends in the world. I love the class and everyone in it.

Long Time
It has been a long time since I have posted anything on here. I think the only reason I post on here is to talk to myself.....I'm a bit insane. It's probably fine.
School starts this next monday. I don't know if i'm excited or not. It's a strange feeling. Usually, I can't wait to get back to school because I feel like I have been missing my friends for such a long time. This year I must have spent a lot of time with friends because I feel like I have kept in touch really well. Either way, I don't really get to choose if I am going back or not. I will be there with everyone else.
Friendships are beginning to disappear. I always have a small group of friends that have and will be my friends forever. However, drama is a very sly little thing that seems to slither into everything. I wish we could all just get along.
I'm excited but scared for the future. Whatever happens will happen for a reason. I hope the future will remain like the past...
bright and fun......

The crazy of the week.
Recently, I have had trouble getting up on time to go to school. Monday was one of those days. It was about 5 minutes before the tardy bell was going to ring. I was at the intersection right before turning into the school parking lot. There was a car directly in front of me and a car to the right of me. They were both stopped at the stop sign. I would not have thought much of it if they hadn't have been waiting there for so long. When I pulled up to the intersection, it seemed like they were just sitting there. Because they both got there before I did, I was waiting for them to go. However, they did not go. They just sat there. I was pretty stressed out because of how late I was so I began to pull forward. I didn't pull forward very far before both cars began to accelerate.
It was one of those moments where everything seemed to be moving in slow motion. The car that was on the left (red car) was now directly in front of me. The car that was across from me (white car) slammed into the red car. The impact ripped the backside of the red car off. I'm not just saying the bumper. The entire back side of the car was ripped off. After that, it seemed like everything sped up again. The white car spun out of the intersection, nearly hitting me. His eyes met mine while he was spinning out of control. The look on his face was priceless. He looked like nothing was going on. He gave me a look that was kinda like "yeah, I just hit that car.....oops".
When it was all done, both drivers looked at each other for about ten awkward seconds. Sadly, I didn't stay to see anymore......I was late to school.
True Story......

Spring time.
soooooo.....today should be a good day to post something again. Today, I took the ACT while all of the sophmores and seniors stayed home. I guess it's not so bad. I got a free ACT and I got out of school crazy early.
Anyway, I got to go see an old friend today. (This is kinda weird cause she is probably the only person who is going to read this) I got to catch up on what's going on down at Viewmont. I also got the chance to welt Spencer with snowballs. That was pretty fun, I guess.
I'm just happy that the sun is out again. I had a nice picnic(without food.....kinda weird) with a few of my favorite people. Definetly the best part about the sun.

A Weekend of sad
Here is a couple of sad things about this weekend.
1. I lost my voice.....again. I shouldn't be suprised though
2. I wasted most of my time playing video games. Bad Randy.
3. Justin Bieber lost his grammy. This is kinda weird that I am posting this. However, I think it's super lame that he didn't win "Best new Artist". I don't really know why I care though. I have never really liked Justin Bieber. I just think it's weird that he is the only person that was nominated that I knew and he didn't even win. He was one of the biggest things of 2010. What's up with that
On the upside....
1. The sun has been coming up more often.
2. I went to see "The Eagle" (It was okay)
3. Muse won the grammy for best Rock Album.
So I guess it's not really a sad weekend. It was pretty even on both sides.

The "Sing" Problem
To begin, I belong to the LDS church. When I turned eight, I was baptized. At the Baptism, my mother really wanted me to sing a song. It was a strange request because nobody in my family really sings. Actually, that statement is false. A ton of my relatives on my dad's side of the family sing very well. My dad never really sings but everyone else on his side of the family seems to sing all the time. At the age of eight, I didn't know that my family was good at singing. Actually, I don't think I found out about my singing family until games like "Rock Band" and "Lips" came out.
Anyway, I didn't like the idea of singing at my baptism. It was too much effort. Eventually my mother convinced me to sing. I had never had to sing in front of people. I don't think I even sang to myself ever. I started preparing a primary song called "When Jesus Christ was Baptized". I would go to my neighbor's house to practice. My neighbor was a very optimistic women. She is always smiling and she is a wonderful singer. She was also going to be my pianist. I practiced at her house a couple times before the baptism.
One of the greatest things about being an eight year old boy is that it is really easy to sing higher notes. Being eight also made me a great singer no matter what I did. If I were to suck, it would not matter because eight year old boys who don't know how to sing are cute. When the baptism day came, I was not very nervous because I didn't really care what people thought of me at that age. I sang the song and it went very well. I was very proud of my performance at the time because people would come and tell me I did a great job.
The bishop of my ward requested that I sing the song in sacrament meeting about two weeks from my baptism.
Of course, it did not matter what I thought of this request because my mother answered for me. I didn't prepare for this song at all. Why would I? I had sang it once, I could sing it anytime. When I stepped up on the stand to sing on the sunday, I started to panic. There was a lot of people out there that were going to hear me sing. I began to sing. I didn't want to look at all the people because it scared me too badly. It seemed like the safest thing to do was to keep my eye on my family. It was the worst mistake I could have made. My little four year old brother was standing up on his chair pointing at me. He was telling everyone around him that I was his brother. I couldn't handle it. I began to laugh. I laughed so hard that I couldn't even hear the music anymore. When the song ended, I didn't eeven know it. I was laughing too hard. It was the most embarassing thing I had ever experienced......well, it was the most embarassing thing in my life so far.
As the week continued, people would come up to me and tell me "Wow! You did such a good job on sunday". That's when I realized that people would lie to me to me to make me feel better. I hated that. I didn't want people to lie to me because then I would never know what they really thought of my performance. It killd my self-esteem for the next six years of my life.
