One of the hardest things for me is that I met a bunch of new people just barely....and now I'm leaving them. So, if I met you in the last six months, this blogpost is about you. I'm so so grateful for all the people in my life. I'm amazed at how quickly I made new friends at college. My roommates were all awesome. My ward was super welcoming and I met a bunch of people that I feel like I have known for years. I'm really going to miss everyone but I hope when I come back, you will all be as welcoming as you were when I was a stranger....but i'm sure you all will be. And that is why I love all my friends.

Cancer
In a way, I feel like a man with terminal cancer. I only have three weeks until I leave on my mission. When I come back, it's very possible that most of you won't really remember be. It's very possible that most of you will be married or gone. It's kinda crazy. However, I'm super excited. I hope with all my heart that most of you will still be around when i get back. Maybe these two years will go by fast.

Testimony at 18
Well, the call came. On Wednesday, I sat in my living room.....watching the mailbox. waiting for the mail truck to show up. It felt like I sat there for days. finally it came. I ran out to the mailbox, opened it up, and then laughed with excitement. At 7, I opened up my mission call with some of my best friends. I am called to the Japan, Fukuoka mission. I'm leaving on January 9th......Haha, really soon.
Sooooo, I've decided to make a post of my testimony before my mission. So here we go....
I chose to be a missionary. My parents didn't push me to turn in my papers. My friends didn't make me. My leaders didn't tell me to. I made the choice. My friends, family, and leaders definitely helped me make the choice and supported me, but this is something I wanted to do.
Why is that? Two years is a very long time. I have to leave the people I love the most. Going is not easy. I'm not going to pretend like going on a mission was something that I decided to do over night, and it is certainly not something that I could do if I didn't know the things i know. I could not leave my family, my friends, my school, my guitar, and my home if I didn't not know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was The Church of God. There a so many things about this Church that I don't understand. There are so many things I am still learning. However, there is a few things that I do know.......
1. I know that the Book of Mormon is Scripture. I know that it is the word of god and that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know that by saying my prayers and reading my scriptures I have been kept safe from bad thoughts and actions
2. I love the Temple and feel peace and the spirit when I go there. I know that it is sacred and the house of the lord.
3. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer.
4. I know that the Priesthood is real.
And above all else...
5. I know that this church makes me happy. I know that right now, I am happy. This church makes me want to do things for others. This Church brings joy.
I know this church is true. I would not leave my education to serve a mission if it was not true. I would not leave my family and live on my own for two years if it wasn't true. I wouldn't leave my best friend, Maddy, if it wasn't true. I wouldn't leave all my amazing friends if it was not true.
I'm so excited to serve my mission.
Anyway, my life is going really well right now. I'm having a blast.
This won't be my last post before my mission. Don't worry.

Been a while
Sorry. So here is what's been going on....
For a while, my computer was having a problem. I haven't been able to use it for quite some time. That's why my blogging has slowed down so much. I didn't die. I've also been super busy with school and work.
Tomorrow, i'm supposed to get my mission call. I'm super excited. I can't wait to find out where i'm going to be serving the lord for the next two years of my life. It's something i've been waiting for my entire life. I'm a little nervous, but wherever I go, it'll be an amazing experience.
Yesterday, I had my four wisdom teeth pulled. It has been a weird experience. I don't remember anything. it's kinda scary. You sit down for the surgery, they put an IV in your arm and then the next thing you know, you wake up in a new room and in a different chair. Your mouth is completely numb and you feel like you're falling. Apparently I said a lot of things that I don't remember but i'd rather not mention those things.
Anyway, things have been going great. My mission is coming up so so fast. It's a little bit scary. However, i'm sure it will be over just as fast and I need to live out every moment I have serving the lord wherever he sends me.

Albums
I guess I have this thing for lists......I don't know. They are fun....
So, as many of you know, I love music. I love Tuesdays because it's the day new music comes out. This list is a list of my favorite albums. I love a lot of artists and a lot of albums, but there are very few records that i STILL listen to from end to end. Those are my favorite albums and often my favorite artists. There aren't a lot of them....but here are most of them.
Benton Paul--Grey
Benton Paul is one of my all time favorite musicians. He is LDS like I am and his music is very simple. It's very real. There isn't a lot of distortion. I've seen him perform multiple times and he is a fun guy and a lot of fun to listen to. You probably don't know him....but he's awesome
Parachute--The Way it Was
I just found this album last year...and fell in love with it. I wasn't going to buy the whole album originally, but I couldn't decide what songs I wanted from it so.....haha, I bought it all. It was not a mistake.
Fleetwood Mac--Rumours
This album was before my time. It was an album my dad had. It's one of his favorites. So, he showed it to me and it's a great album. Funny story about it---When I was in ninth grade, I had a Geography teacher (We'll call him Mr. P.) who loved classic rock. One day, for some odd reason, he was freaking out about how nobody in the class knew who Fleetwood Mac was. I had just talked to my dad about them so I explained to Mr. P. that I knew who they were and we had a little talk about them....Mr. P. gave me ten points of extra credit for that day. Thanks dad.
Paramore--RIOT
Love paramore. Haley has a crazy voice. They need to release some new music because this album rocked!
The Rocket Summer--Hello, Good Friend, Do You Feel, Life Will Write the Words
Bryce Avary is probably my favorite musician ever. He writes all the music for his album by himself....as in everything. Drums, piano, guitar, lyrics, EVERYTHING. His music is very clean and awesome. These are my top three albums he has released. Not a lot of people like his voice, but he is crazy talented and I love his music. I was able to go see him perform live recently. He put on the best show I have ever seen.
Mayday Parade--A Lesson in Romantics
This album is...fun. It's the only word to describe it. It's such a fun album. Loved this band. I don't care what anyone else thinks. Mayday Parade is not the same without Jason. Jason isn't the same without Mayday Parade. Go Radio and Mayday Parade are nowhere as good as A Lesson in Romantics.
Muse--Absolution
Another crazy fun album. Muse is an incredible band. Another crazy band I saw live. they are amazing live. Unfortunately, they don't make music like Absolution anymore. I was little disappointed with their newest album. This is my favorite album they released.
John Mayer--Where the Light is
This is a live concert by John Mayer. He is an amazing guitarist and an amazing vocalist. This is such a fun concert to listen to....I don't think i'll ever see him live though. He's kinda a dirtbag.
These are just a couple of my favorites.....Ok. i'm done with lists now. That was fun. :)

That List
Remember my last post? Haha, probably not. Here is a small list of things I love....don't worry. This isn't everything.
- Food--yeah...it needed to be said
- Music--Anything musical. I love listening.
- People in my life--I'm very blessed. My family rocks (Jon comes home tomorrow and i'm dying) My friends rock. Maddy is always there for me.....yeah. I love the people in my life.
- the Gospel--I love my religion
- Ummm
- Hardcore music--You might not know that I love hardcore rock. I've toned a lot of it down because usually hardcore rock is really unhealthy to listen to. Some of it is fun though.
- Shopping--Maybe not shopping...but I love walking around stores...it's really relaxing
- Dancing--Dancing is so fetching fun. Anyone that was in musical productions knows that it was one of my favorite things about that class. I didn't know how much I loved it until I auditioned for the class....but it's awesome.
- Drives--I love driving. There is always a point where too much of something gets old...but otherwise, I love love love driving.
- Cello--Cello is the instrument I wish I had learned to play. It is absolutely gorgeous
- Fires--.....as in campfires. I don't like smelling like fire, but I love campfires and s'mores and jam sessions
- Biking
- Disney--My dad is a Disney freak. He loves anything Disney....and he raised me well.
- Laughing
- Winter clothing--I hate being cold but for some reason I love winter clothing.
- Blues clues--Don't you judge
- Old movies--Just because they are old doesn't make them bad.

This list
This could be fun. I kinda want to make a list of things I love and hate......here are some things I hate.
Does it bother anyone else that there isn't a coma after "SLOW"....it makes me think that they are slow children...or stupid children.
- Video Games--I spent so much time in High School watching other people play video games.....When I come over to hang out, I don't want to sit and watch someone play video games. I had so much fun in High School....the best times didn't involve video games.
- Racism/Stereotypes--enough said
- High School Drama--It's funny cuz when you leave high school, the drama stays.
- Modern Standards--So, as a lot of you know, I haven't had a TV in my house. Say what you will, but watching TV is really hard to do today. Sometimes, I find myself turning my head from the TV because of an image in a commercial....and I shouldn't have to do that...I hate it.
- Drivers--I swear, people are stupid when they wrap their hands around the steering wheel of a car.
- The Dentist--My dentist, Dr. Corey, is nicking sick...but I still hate going.
- Cancer
- When a good band makes a horrible record/Sell outs

Gasping for air
Asthma is back....again. At least I think it's asthma. My chest aches and it makes it hard to breathe. I hooked myself up to some medicine for my lungs so I could sleep last night....but I'm kinda done with all this breathing stuff. My mom had asthma. Haha, quick story (don't laugh), but when I was first diagnosed, I was super sad and my mom came and told me she had it at one point in her life. She said that it went away when she was about sixteen. I thought that asthma was just going to go away when I turned sixteen....it happened to my mom. Why not me?
It actually did go away...for a really long time. In fact, it was gone for most of my high school career. It decided to jump back into my life about a year ago. I just hope it is asthma.....cuz if it is something else....I don't know what it is. So, in the last couple days, I've been literally telling myself "Breathe in......breathe out".....Haha, just like the dumb blonde joke.
Fortunately, I've been in a really good mood. Every once in a while I get grumpy and get rude....and I apologize to anyone that has to deal with me....but most of the time, i'm in a pretty good mood. There's a quote in the movie Hitch. It says something along the lines of "Life isn't about the number of breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away"......Something like that.
I've had some great experience while I've been away from home. Lots of surprises...some good....some bad, but I've also had a lot of smiles and laughs. I'm just a very happy person. I've been very close to my church recently. Maybe that's why i'm so happy. Maybe it's because I have great friends. Maybe it's because i'm getting really busy. It could be all of those things.
So, yes. My lungs kinda suck right now....but my smile won't go away.

Hello again.
Well, I'm really bad at this. I don't think i've posted in a very long time. I'm sorry.....except nobody really reads this. Here's a little update of things going through my mind...
So, I'm not going to go through all the things I've been up to. I'm going to say this: College is fun. Learning a lot......of things I didn't think I'd be learning.
I used to think that Provo/Orem was "mormon central" and that everyone out here would be very much like me.....I was so so wrong. Boys and girls, Kaysville really is as "Mormon" as it gets. Maybe I'm ignorant, but I wasn't expecting the community to be like this. I still love everyone up here....it's just a little different than I thought it would be. People don't attack the church in Kaysville.
Here's where my "Churchy" lesson comes in so LISTEN UP. In my old ward, my dad would teach a kinda famous lesson in my ward. He taught it a lot....It's his "famous" lesson (If you don't count how he also always teaches the pornography lesson......which is .....fun). The lesson is, "What you believe" The basic concept is, there will come a time when you will have to ask yourself what do YOU believe. Growing up, I have told myself that I know what I believe....and that is true. I do know what I believe, but that is only half of the lesson.
When my dad gave this lesson, he always told a story (because that's what my dad does best) about a girl he used to know when he was living in Japan during the first couple years of my parents marriage. I don't remember the girls name, but she was the only young-woman in her ward....in fact, the only young-woman in her district. She was also the only LDS member in her family. Nobody woke her up and told her to get ready for church. Nobody reminded her to read her scriptures or say her prayers or pay her tithing. She did all that on her own. The church house was about an hour away if she biked. Her parents had a car, but they were not willing to drive her to church on Sundays. She had to get up around six every Sunday to get ready for church. She loved to swim and was very good at it...but she wasn't on the team because swim meets were always on Sunday and she didn't want to miss church or break the Sabbath. She had a seminary teacher.....kinda. The teacher didn't live anywhere near her. She never met the teacher in person. She had to mail all her homework in. Her teacher would mail her lessons.
So, here comes the famous punch line my dad always said. The first time he told my brothers and I this story, I remember him getting very serious and emotional (which NEVER happens....when he does, it's very important that you listen to what he's saying) and said, "Now boys, I know you have a testimony. I know you believe that the church is true...but would it still be true if you were her?"
Of the many things my parents taught me, I'm so happy they taught me this one...because when you leave home, it's not so easy to be LDS. I don't go to BYU so i'm not in a LDS school. I have never ever had to stand up for the church in a classroom setting...and I've never had to stand up for the church alone. For the first time, it's difficult to say, "Hey, i'm Mormon and what you are saying is not true" because I've always had people backing me up.
I'm so happy that I was raised the way I was...because things aren't as easy as they used to be. Sorry to be all churchy....but that's what's going on down here. Hahaha, what about you?

Hmm this is going well.
I'm finding the same thing out... Again and again. For some reason I forget that I already know it...and then learn it again. I keep finding out what makes me happy and then I forget again. Well, it's time to stop forgetting. I'm not the happiest when I'm trying to make myself happy...I'm happiest when I'm making other people happy.
This week started off so well. Monday, Madeleine and I went shopping all day. We just joked around about how trashy the stores we were shopping at were. Then yesterday, we went on a quick date to DQ and got some ice cream. Throughout the week, I have also just been doing my best to smile lots and make sure everyone around me is too....and it hasn't been so hard. It's so nice. If this week continues the way it has, it could be one of the best weeks ever. :)
Also, quick side note....never ever keep laundry soap in your room......ever. :)

First day of school.
The first day at UVU went very well today. I had found out where all my classes where going to be before school started so I wouldn't be late today. Parking was a little difficult but I found a spot. The only thing that really sucks is textbooks. I have found all of them but i'm trying my best to find a better price because the price of these books is absurd. Didn't make any friends today but......really? I didn't really expect to. It's all good. Eventually things won't be so awkward in the classroom.
Still looking for a job. I've filled out so many applications and dropped my resume off at so many places that it's getting stressful. I'm sure i'll be fine....it's just annoying....it was annoying in high school but in high school you don't buy groceries or have to buy the textbooks you use. It's a scary thought....but i'll find a job.
Sunday was nice. I feel pretty comfortable in the ward now.....and I have a fun nick name. Rolo....or Rolow. I don't know. It's fun though. My roommates are all awesome and i'm excited to room with them for the semester.
I've been able to go see Maddy a few times and it's been nice. She lives closer to me than she did before....kinda weird to think about. Anyway, i'm excited for this college thing. It's going pretty well right now.

Just a facebook status....
So, a little over a year ago, my friend posted a status about me. It said "For evey like this status gets, Randy Low will kiss a girl". This was done without me knowing. I was not super thrilled about it....especially since it got 118 likes. To make it worse, a facebook event was created. I was supposed to show up at Davis at 11:00 to kiss 118 girls. I was not going to go....
Why would I go? This was not me. I didn't want to kiss 118 girls. I didn't want to have 118 people that have kissed me. That's absurd. The date that was set was August 13th....a date that I was not looking forward to...
Now, when I look back on that day, it was one of the most special of my life. I didn't end up kissing 118 girls.....just one.
One year later, i'm happier than ever. This last year has been brilliant. Lot's of hard times but even more good times. Maddy, is the sweetest person I know and i'm so grateful to have her as my best friend. She really shouldn't put up with me cause i can be so annoying....but i'm so happy she does.
Yesterday, I went back through the year and remembered exactly why i'm so happy...it's because of her.

Sorry
So....I haven't posted in forever. I'm sorry. Haha, not a lot of people read this so it probably isn't a big deal....but I'm still sorry. Today, I just felt like I like blogging. I'm in a weird mood. To start, this last weekend I took Maddy to the zoo. It was a long and awesome date. I had a blast.
I also had a really interesting conversation with one of my brother's old friends. It turned into a really long and emotional talk. It was good though.
Also, I'm finding things out about me. Some
Things need to be let go of with high school. Other things will always be part of me. I'm finding out what I like about myself and what I need to Work on.
This summer is full of suprises.....some are great and some are not the best.....but so far, this has been a great summer.

Climbing
You know that really cliche line, "Life is a Journey". A lot of the time it feels like rock climbing. When you climb, someone always belays you. They hold you up so you don't fall. When I go rock climbing with my ward, sometimes, we get too tired and feel like we can't go any farther. Then whoever is on belay usually pulls the rope tight so that you can rest. They have your back. Right now, I feel like I have a lot of people pulling my rope tight or giving me support. My brother has been gone a lot but he really supports me. There are a lot of people that don't know that they help me. They do little and simple things to help me keep a smile on. Maddy always keeps me smiling. It's easy to smile when she is always so happy. And then, there is my savior, Jesus Christ. I'm feeling really religious right now....but there is nobody who is more supportive than Christ. I know that....and I absolutely love him for it.

Am I ready?
I went to a beautiful wedding reception yesterday. It was really nice.
While I was there I started thinking about my own future. I want to get married in the temple. I have always wanted to. Even when I was in primary, I remember wanting it for myself. I'm kinda young to be thinking about getting married....but I also remember being too young to be worrying about driving. Those years came very quickly. Anyway, this school year is coming to a close.
Half of me is dying to get out of high school. I want to live on my own. I want to start working on my missionary papers. I want to serve a mission.
The other half is a little worried. As I look back at my last three years, I have done many great things...but I still make stupid mistakes. I still drop below my goals. I thought that by the time I graduated from high school I would have grown up so much. I feel like I have grown up a lot...but at the same time I still feel like the little boy who makes mistakes and disappoints his parents and peers. I had really awesome older brothers who were great examples to me. I wish I could be more like them sometimes. It always seems like they are at the top. Being the best of the best. I know that they aren't but I am always so impressed by them. It's a little hard following them. They are amazing men...and I'm ....less amazing I guess is the best way to put it.
I hope that I can get to a point in my life where I never have to disappoint anyone... I probably will never reach that point in my life. I don't think anyone eccentric does. But I hate disappointing people. If I were to pick my biggest fear, it would probably be disappointing people.
That's why I sometimes ask myself if I'm ready to graduate. I didn't realize how hard it is to leave home. It worries me a little....but I have a plan ahead of me. I know that my life is riding down the path it's supposed to. I just need to trust that He's up there with the plan and that he knows what he's doing. I might not always like where I'm going, but I know that things will work out the way they are supposed to.

Look for the Light
I really like this one singer....his name is Benton Paul. He's not super popular, but I think he's great. He has a song called "Look for the Light". I once saw him perform this song at a concert that I went to with my brother. Here is a video of the concert. If you look on the far right at the very beginning of the video (about 2 seconds in), you can see my brother in a dark blue shirt and me in a white striped shirt.
This is one of my favorite songs by Benton....One of my favorites period. I don't listen to it often but I always seem to remember it when i'm having a hard time. I am very blessed. It's always easy to look for things about me or my life that I don't like. When I do that, I get super depressed or angry. I hate it. I like to think of myself as a pretty happy person. That's why I always do my best to "Look for the Light".
This video doesn't have the best quality....it's the wind....but I posted it because I like seeing my brother and I. I got to talk to him on mothers day. I miss him and am very excited for him to come home.

Prom
Get ready....this is a big post.
So, as of last week, I had never been to prom. So, to say I was so freaking excited was a pretty big understatement. I had been looking forward to it for months. Here's how it went down...
Spring Break
Last week was spring break. It was also the weekend of our day activity for prom. We had to have the activity the week before prom because of State One-Acts....It wasn't really a problem. In fact, I loved it that way. The plan was to drive down to Thanksgiving Point and spend the day there. Well, the plan had to change a bit. The day before our day activity, Maddy's phone had a bit of a breakdown. It was really bad and stressful. I went over to Maddy's that night and the night completely flipped around. I thought I was only going to be over there for a few minutes to be with Maddy. Then I got to spend the night with her family. I had so much fun with them. Her family was dying eggs that night and allowed me to stay with them. I hadn't dyed eggs in a really long time. After that, we watched 500 days of summer. It was a really good movie. The night was great.
Day Activity
So, the next day was the day activity. Maddy and I left an hour early so we could take her phone into the verizon store at the gateway. When we got there, the guy told us it would take about 30-45 minutes.....so we got to chill in the gateway. The sun was out and it was a beautiful day. It was really nice. Then when we went back for her phone, the guy had got her new software for her phone, got all her contacts back, and validated our parking. He was awesome. It was a great way to start the day....but it was only the start. Then we left for thanksgiving point. We got there a bit early so we were able to go down to the petting zoo. When the rest of the group showed up we went around the gardens and dino museum. It was a blast.

The rest of the group left around six...but Maddy and I decided to go to city creek. On the way there, we stopped at Ikea and played around for a bit. Then it was off to city creek. I thought the new mall was really cool. It was a bit crowded but a lot of fun.
To make a long story short, the activity was a blast.
PROM.
So, other things the next week went by really slowly. It was killing me. I just really wanted to go to prom. I couldn't even talk about it because I would start shaking from excitement. Finally, saturday came. It was incredible. We went to the garden for dinner, and then off to Prom. The whole time I was there, I felt like it wasn't real. I was having too much fun. It was the best night. Slow dancing in the capitol with my best friend. It doesn't get better than that.
I didn't expect the night to go so well.....and I was expecting a lot. It was a perfect night with the perfect date.

Smile season
So last night was a blast. I sang loud, ate food, smiled almost the entire time, and went to sleep with the best feeling in the world. It was kinda weird....cause not a ton happened last night. I got to be with my best friend all night but we didn't do a ton of crazy stuff.....actually, I take that back. We did a lot of crazy stuff. Just not stuff that is super rare....it's hard to explain but I think you understand.
The sun has been shining all week. It makes me so happy. Last night, was warm and beautiful.
Maddy took me to a park that I'd never been to. It was a gorgeous place. It had a little lake and the sunset reflected beautifully on it. We skipped rocks and laughed together. Then we walked around the lake. When we were on the east side of the lake, we stopped and looked over at the sunset. It was beautiful. It was warm. It was peaceful. It was one of the moments where nothing else mattered. It was just a happy moment.
Moments like that always remind me how blessed I am. I really enjoyed spending time with my best friend last night.
Spring is here. I'm so excited.

Cello
So, i'm getting lazy. I'm sorry. It's been a while....
Today, Maddy and I tried out for the talent show. We sang "I see the Light" from Tangled. It was so fun learning the song. We worked really hard and i'm very proud of what we accomplished. Maybe we'll be in the show... If not, it's ok. I feel very good about the audition and I had lots of fun.
Also today, I have been doing some really hardcore studying for my art history test tommorow.....haha, yeah. We'll see how that goes. Anyway, while I was studying, I had my headphones in and I was listening to some pretty mellow music. One of my absolute favorite pieces came up....
It's from one my top ten favorite movies....actually, more like top three. It's a very well done movie. It's called "Departures". It's a Japanese film so not very well known in the U.S.A. It's man who plays the cello in a symphony. He is a very young man who's mother has passed away and his father abandoned him. He is married to his wife and that's basically his entire family. At the beginning of the movie, the owner of the symphony comes after one of the shows and announces that the orchestra has gone bankrupt. All the musicians lost their jobs.
So, the main character has to find a new job. He starts a new job preparing bodies for funerals. In Japan, it is considered a very dishonorable job.
That's all i'm going to say though. I would highly recomend it.
The song that came on my ipod is from this scene....
I should probably explain the scene with the rocks. The boy and his father are finding rocks that feel the way they feel. The reason the father's face is blurred is because the man does not remember what he looks like.
Anyway, go see the movie. It's a good one. Makes me wish I played the cello.

Birthday Weekend
It's amazing how people can change the way your week goes....even when things are rotten. This weekend was absolutely fantastic. Here is a little summary of what went down:
Thursday
Thursday was the last day of school for the week. We got Friday off so we had a nice four day weekend. Thursday I did what I thought would never get done.....I finished my freaking Eagle! I was so happy. It should have been done forever ago but...I got it done. That night, we all went off to Megen Smed's house to celebrate her birthday. I had a lot of fun laughing with Maddy, eating crepes and playing jungle speed. Unfortunately, something sparked my asthma that night (I know. I really should grow out of it soon but my asthma is fighting me hard right now). Also, Maddy wasn't feeling so well so we both went home.
Friday
Day off. Awesome. I got to celebrate my birthday with Maddy all day. It was amazing. We made a cake, played some funny boardgames with her family and then went to Mikado.
So, maybe Maddy and I are really bad bowlers. It's probably fine. We got to take pictures in the photo booth and then we went back to her house and watched step up 3. It was a perfect day. I was so happy.
Saturday
I turned eighteen. I spent time with my family and then with Maddy and then with both. We had hot chocolate at my house and talked to my dad. It was a lot of fun. Then, later that night, productions went to Tim's house. It was fun to sit and chat with friends....but there was a problem. When we came down, I saw Tim pick up some sort of animal off the couch and take it upstairs. I didn't think much of it till I started feeling it in my lungs. It had to be a cat. My Asthma got worked up again.
Sunday
I still had my weezing lungs and itching face but I needed to go to church. I was sustained as the assistant to the bishop in the Priest Quorum presidency. I was really suprised. It's going to be a tough calling. Also, that night, I got working on a little project....
Monday
We also had monday off because of Presidents day. I got to spend time with Maddy, Chill with my brothers, and take a nice break. It was a great day. I also gave my "little project" to Maddy.
So Yeah. Asthma sucks. I hate it. Luckily, I have some awesome people in my life to make the worst situations some of my best.

So, at Mikado, Maddy got a texted from Dallin. The BYU admissions had been posted. We could't wait so we had people check our admissions. Maddy got into BYU and will be going there next fall. I did not. I was pretty upset...for a little bit. After a few minutes, I calmed down. I wasn't going to let this little rock ruin my future or my date. Everything happens for a reason. We went back to Maddy's house to make sure that our admissions were right. It was tough. Haha, I feel so bad cause Maddy could totally tell how much it was hurting me. Being the sweetheart she is, she went downstairs and brought up my birthday present. She got me some gum a recess peanut butter cup and a movie. She also wrote me a poem. Being the emotional trainwreck that I already was, I sat there and sobbed. It was perfect. It was just what I needed. So Maddy and I went Bowling.....yeah. It was awesome!

Valentines week
Yesterday was the best valentines day i've ever had. It kinda felt like the only valentines day i've ever had. It's never been such a special day. Maddy got me a book. It was a little kid's book. I read it and almost cried. It was so sweet. I also finished the song i've been working on for so long. I didn't think I would ever get it right but I finally did. It was perfect.
Things are really working out for me right now. I'm just finishing up my Eagle which has been a nightmare but i'm pretty sure i've got it now. It's nice to be done. Tommorow is a thursday.....and the last day of the school week. We get friday off. So...instead of going to school, I get to have an awesome date. :) i'm excited.
Also, my eighteenth birthday is saturday.....yeah. Scary thought. It's got me thinking though. I have done some really stupid stuff in my life. It's a good thing that i've grown up and realized that there are more "fun" things to do than annoying people. For some reason, people enjoy making other people feel rotten. It's an awful attribute of the Natural Man. I actually have a.....interesting story about that. While I was in the hall yesterday, a girl I had never seen approached me. (It might also be good to note that I was just dancing from social dance and I was wearing a scarf). She came and asked if I knew a boy. I had never heard the name she told me and I also don't remember the name. When I told her I didn't know him, she repied "Well, you guys would make a cute couple". I was so shocked that I just walked away.
Yeah, it pissed me off....but it happens. At the same time, I realize......i'm not like that. My friends are not like that.....because we have grown up. Yes, we are still immature teenagers...but i'm glad that I know how to respect myself and others.
Anyway.....this was probably awkward to read.
But life is good. :)

The reward at the end.
I hate the scout program. Right now I'm working on finishing my eagle. It's a really difficult process. I have to get approval signatures from a ton of people and sometimes they are very difficult. Also, some of my friends are being rude and ridiculous. To make a long story short, this week was hard....really hard. But, at the end of the week, I went on a fantastic date. It was really nice to have that break during the weekend.
We always have hard things in our lives. But I know from experience that when we work hard for something we want, god will help us out (getting religious again). Even id it takes four years, the reward at the end is more than worth it.

Let me tell you a story...
So, I have this friend. She is my best friend. I love being with her. You know who it is? ;) Well, I was watching this video from harry potter....it reminded me of her. We did this once. :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Det_uGuDEI&feature=related
(My blog is being dumb. I can only post the link. Sorry.)
So, this last week, I got really sick....like, REALLY sick. It really doesn't happen often. My body is usually pretty good to me. Anyway, it was really bad. I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't stop throwing up. I didn't get to go to school. It wasn't so bad though. Maddy came over and sat with me. It was very sweet and nice to have her there with me...then she got sick. Haha, I felt so terrible. It was a really hard week.
Now, things are going to get better though. I get to spend a ton more time with her this month. It'll be nice to do things with my best friend so often. :)
Sooooo......I have never done this before but....this is a little song that I like to sing. I hate the sound of my voice...but i'm putting this up anyway. Sorry for the mistakes. Sorry I shortened it. I was really nervous.
This song is very close to my heart.
It's called "I only see you" by Benton Paul

I'm Trying to be....
I found this video of David Archuleta singing "I'm Trying To Be Like Jesus". It's one of my favorite primary hymns. I also really like David's voice. He is really good.
I love listening to the primary hymns. They are so simple but have some of the best messages. Sometimes, we forget the simple lessons that you learn at such a young age. When we forget, that's when we have doubts. I usually don't get very religious but I love my heavenly father and this gospel. I love this video.

Holiday break.
I really need to learn to do this more often....
...anyway, here is what's been going on.
I went to the Christmas Dance for the first time ever with Maddy. It was perfect. I can't really think of a better word for it.
I had an excellent Christmas with my family. My brother and I were challenged by my aunt to a dance off in "Dance Central". It was a lot of fun and .....we won. :) My brother is really good at that kinda stuff and we spent a lot of time over the break dancing. It was nice to have him back for the break.
I had a marvelous new year's eve with my best friend in the world. I had a blast.
...I got to go ice skating and make a nasty pizza. That was fun too.....

You might think that pizza looks good....well, I have never made something so greasy in my life. When the knife was pressed into the pizza, I river of grease poured out. It was pretty gross.
So that's a pretty quick summary of my break.
When I got back to school, things began to complicate. First of all, the Musical Revue is now at a peak. We are constantly busy. That combined with One acts makes me pretty busy. It's nothing I can't handle but...ya know. With all that piled on me, I had a little conflict in English. It's kinda a long story so i'm going to shorten it. Basically what happend is my teacher started making racial jokes about me. At first it didn't bother me but pretty soon it started getting to me. I was the center of attention. The entire class was laughing along at me. I kept on thinking my teacher would stop but he kept going. I asked him to stop but he didn't. Now that I look back at it, I probably should have just walked out. I should have done something but I just sat there and let it happen. It was an awful situation. Luckily, I have people looking out for me.
I am so blessed with the people in my life. Maddy calmed me down right after it happened and has really helped me cheer up. My parents were very upset....probably more so than I was. I had to calm them down. I had a lot people who came to me and expressed how sorry they were that it happened. I'm very grateful for everyone that is watching out for me.
I'm not going to let this take me down. I'm proud of who I am.
